Постпанк виокремився як явище наприкінці 70-х років минулого сторіччя. Постпанк — це не про якесь конкретне звучання (під яким часто помилково розуміють похмурий «саунд» в дусі альбому Joy Division «Unknown Pleasures»). Постпанк — це ідея, соціально-культурний феномен без строку придатності.
Все у світі обертається по колу. Саме тому постпанк досі живе і розвивається, мутує в щось нове, від постпанк-ревайвлу 00-х до специфічного «doomer wave» кінця 10-х — початку 20-х.
А останнім часом здається, що це коло зачароване поганим відьмаком. Тому ця збірка, відзеркалюючи похмурий погляд молоді на сьогодення, найкращим чином фіксує постпанк-сцену в Україні останніх років. Всі гурти, представлені на ній, об’єднує не «звук», а саме DIY-принцип, що лежить в основі постпанку.
Музиканти, яких не цікавлять компроміси в тому, що стосується творчості, показують приклад протистояння radio-friendly формату та успішно знаходять свого вдячного слухача.

English description:
Postpunk emerged as a phenomenon in the late 70s of the last century. Postpunk is not about a specific sound (which is often mistakenly understood as a gloomy ‘sound’ in the spirit of Joy Division’s Unknown Pleasures album). Postpunk is an idea, a socio-cultural phenomenon with no expiration date.
Everything in the world goes round in circles. That’s why postpunk is still alive and well, mutating into something new, from the postpunk revival of the 00s to the specific ‘doomer wave’ of the late 10s and early 20s.
And lately, it seems that this circle has been enchanted by a bad witch. That’s why this collection, reflecting the gloomy view of young people on the present, best captures the post-punk scene in Ukraine in recent years. All the bands represented on it are united not by their ‘sound’, but by the DIY principle that lies at the heart of post-punk.
The musicians, who are not interested in compromises when it comes to creativity, set an example of opposition to the radio-friendly format and successfully find their grateful audience.
